To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley provides:
For 17 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley has actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys whom other youth agencies have had difficulty reaching. We are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s disadvantaged children and teens have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.
Today, more than 2,000 young people at risk and in need are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley throughout Lyon County. Our vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Over the last 17 years, we have gone from a single Clubhouse to now serving youth in 7 locations throughout the Yerington, Silver Springs, Hawthorne and Dayton area. We currently serve upwards of 2,000 youth annually, while also providing just over 93,000 FREE meals last year. Collectively our Club sites see over 500+ members each and every day.
As we celebrate these great milestones and accomplishments, we are excited about the future of Boys & Girls Club movement and our goal to continue to increase our impact on kids! We do all of this and members still only have to pay a $10.00 annual membership. We know that serving more kids, more often is the gateway to achieving critical outcomes for youth. We know that inside our Club doors, great futures start here!
The Boys & Girls Clubs is one of the best investments any community can make.
Many of these kids, the only place they get before school meals and after school meals is at the Club.
It's been a great partnership between the county, school district and the Boys & Girls Club.
Coming from a whole family to a single dad raising kids, the Club was there for my boys during that instrumental period in their lives.
